Romania’s participation in OECD’s working structures

 

1. Romania is associated to the following OECD working structures:

  • Development Centre (DEV);
  • Working Group of the Shipbuilding Committee.
  • Steel Committee;
  • Eight OECD schemes on agriculture;
  • International Transport Forum;
  • Global Forum son agriculture, competition, development, education and investments, transparency and exchange of information for tax purposes; 
  • Investment Committee, following the adoption of the OECD Declaration for International Investments and Multinational Companies (DIICM);
  • Programme for Local Economic and Employment Development (LEED).

 

2. Romania has participant (P) status and has been invited (I) to work within the following OECD bodies:

  • Agriculture Committee - P;
  • Committee on Educational Policies - P;
  • Committee on Statistics - P;
  • Competition Committee - P;
  • Five Working Groups of the Nuclear Agency - P;
  • Joint OECD – ITF Transport Research Committee - P;
  • Tourism Committee – P;
  • Working Group on Bribery in International Business Transactions – I;
  • Working Group on Export Credits - I;
  • Working Group on SMEs - P.

 

Romania and the OECD have signed the following Declarations:

  • Declaration for International Investments and Multinational Companies and the Due Diligence Guidance for Responsible Supply Chains of Minerals from Conflict-Affected and High-Risk Areas;
  • Declaration on Fostering Growth of Innovative and International Competitive SMEs;
  • Declaration Bologna Charter on SME Policies;
  • Convention on Mutual Administrative Assistance in Tax Matters (as of October 2012)
  • Declaration on Cooperation for Industrial Sustainable Development;
  • Declaration on Cooperation for Fighting Corruption;
  • Declaration on Establishing the Romanian Centre for Information and Documentation of OECD in Bucharest;
  • Declaration for International Investments and Multinational Companies (DIICM);
  • Declaration on Policy Coherence for Development;
  • Declaration on Sovereign Wealth Funds and Recipient Country Policies;
  • Seoul Declaration for the Future of the Internet Economy.
