May 2012 – January 2013 and April 2013 - February 2015: Secretary of State (Vice-minister), Ministry of Justice of Romania (MoJ), in charge with European and International affairs and programs. Main tasks and duties: coordination of national monitoring and reporting activity in the framework of the Cooperation and Verification Mechanism(CVM) established by EC Decision No. 928/2006; coordination of Romania's contribution to the working groups of the European Council and Commission in the justice area; coordination of the preparation of Romania's contribution in the justice area for the ministers’ meetings – EU Justice and Home Affairs’ Councils; coordination of the implementation of the National Anti-Corruption Strategy, of the international cooperation in the field of assets recovery, as well as Romania's representation to regional and international mechanisms for the prevention of corruption and crime; manager (programming, implementation, monitoring and evaluation) of the justice projects, funded through EU non-reimbursable funds and other donors such as Switzerland and Norway and bilateral projects of cooperation (e.g. the Justice Program funded by The Netherlands in the benefit of the Romanian judiciary 2012-2014); coordination of the Judicial Reform Project, financed by the World Bank (IBRD Loan Ro – 4811); coordination of the activities related to Romania’s  ratification, approval or adherence to international treaties in the area of international judicial cooperation (legal drafting, negotiation, legal endorsement etc.).

February 2005- May 2012, Counselor (senior legal advisor with status of magistrate) and Head of the International Programs Unit, Superior Council of Magistracy of Romania (SCM). Coordinator (desk officer) of the projects financed by the World Bank (PAL-PPIBL projects, 2005, 2006; Judiciary Reform Program IBRD Loan Ro – 4811 2007-2012) and other international or bilateral projects in the benefit of the Romanian Superior Council of Magistracy and its coordinated bodies (NIM and NSC). National expert of the World Bank’ PAL-PPIBL project on measuring and monitoring judicial performance in Romania (2006).May 2002 – January 2005: Secretary of State, Ministry of Justice of Romania. SPO (Senior Project Officer) and coordinator of all activities related to the implementation of PHARE programs in the benefit of Romanian judiciary (2002-2004; DSPO 2001-2002) and other bilateral programs; Member of the Romanian Delegation for EU accession negotiations on chapter 24-JHA; Member of Inter-ministerial Group for drafting the Romania – EU Accession Treaty; Coordinator of the working-group for drafting chapter 24 – JHA’ negotiation documents. Coordinator of MoJ activities as member of the National Commission for Romania’s NATO Accession, mainly on chapter 1 – Social and economic affairs and Chapter 5 – Legislation. Member of the negotiation team of Romania’s NATO Accession Protocol and Member of the working group for drafting the main documents in the respective area. Coordinator of the activity of the World Bank’s Project Management Unit within MoJ (2002-2004).

February 2001 – May 2002: Director, European Integration and Programs Directorate, Ministry of Justice of Romania.

1999 – 2001: First Secretary, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Romania, European Affairs and Negotiations Directorate. Desk-officer and expert of the working group for drafting the negotiation papers on Chapter 9 –  “Transports” and Chapter 14 – “Energy” within the framework of the EU-Romania accession negotiations. Member of the first Romanian Team for the EU Accession (1999). Member of the inter-institutional committees for the preparation of screening activities on Chapter 22 – Environment (1999) and of the Sub-Committee no.6 „Transport, energy and environment” (1998, 1999, 2000), as well as other EU-Romania reunions.

2007 – 2014 (two mandates): Member of the National Integrity Council (CNI) - the coordinating body of the National Integrity Agency (ANI).
