Romanian Chairmanship-in-Office, 2013-2014






SEECP framework is of particular relevance for Romanian foreign policy, as a direct and regional continuation of the constant priority towards relations with the states from our immediate neighborhood.

During its mandate of SEECP Chairmanship-in-Office, Romania will organize both political and sectoral meetings, focused on promoting dialogue and cooperation in the region, in line with the principles of the SEECP Charter, and with a view to achieving the specific objectives and goals mentioned in the jointly adopted documents.

The Romanian Chairmanship-in-Office will promote an agenda focused mainly on ensuring synchronization of regional cooperation within SEECP with the European and Euro-Atlantic preparation processes as most SEECP participanting States have reached a decisive stage of their relations with the European and Euro-Atlantic institutions.

The sectoral agenda of the Romanian Chairmanship will also take into account the Europe 2020 Strategy, as well as the Southeastern Europe 2020 Strategy.

The Romanian Chairmanship-in-Office aims at promoting those fields of common interest for the SEECP participating States, where concrete results will be achieved for the participating States and to the benefit of the whole region.
